Prenatal Care, Labor and Birth
Cypress Midwifery offers holistic prenatal care for low risk pregnant people. Appointments are monthly until 28 weeks, every other week from 28-36 weeks and weekly from 36 weeks to delivery. Each appointment is an hour long in the comfort of your own home. We’ll assess the well being of the pregnant person and baby, provide educational resources, and leave time for you to ask questions and connect with your midwife.
Natalie specializes in natural birth out of hospital, offering home birth and water birth. Once in labor there will be direct phone communication with your midwife until active labor when the midwife will come to support you in person. After delivery she will stay with you about 3-4 hours to ensure both baby and parents are doing well.
In depth postpartum care is a central principle for Cypress Midwifery. You can expect a visit on 1 day, 1 week, 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks. Lactation consultants are available to come to your home for additional support.
